Who We Are
In 2006 two Tibetan Buddhist monks, Geshe Drakpa Gelek and Lama Passang Gelek, began teaching Buddhism to students in the San Antonio area. Over the years the group evolved into its current form, currently under the guidance of Geshe Lobsang Nima. Our Mission The mission of the Tibetan Buddhism Center for World Peace San Antonio is to bring peace to the world by providing authentic Dharma to all individuals who are seeking to increase their wisdom and compassion for the benefit of all. |

Compassionate San Antonio
Having signed and adopted the principals laid out in The Charter for Compassion, the Alamo City aspires to be a model both within its government offices and outside across the community. San Antonio city leaders have been deeply engaged in a global movement to adopt ethics and compassion as guiding principals—Mayor Nirenberg and City Council have participated in Compassionate Integrity Training. |
