The Way of the Bodhisattva
Fall of 2023
Sundays at 11:00 am

In the whole of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition there is no work more treasured or widely practiced than the Bodhicharyavatara, or The Way of the Bodhisattva.
Following the the advice of our teacher Geshe Nima (now at his monastery in India), and with his guidance, we will study this renowned classic text, written by the eighth-century sage Shantideva.

This topic was selected for us by Geshe Nima and sessions are led by Christopher Moroney.

The Way of the Bodhisattva is a condensation of all the Buddha’s teachings and clearly shows how these teachings can be integrated into our daily life. We will be working with a number of authoritative translations and commentaries to help us deepen our understanding of the text and to apply this understanding to our own practice of compassion and wisdom.
One of the translations we will be referring to can be purchased >here.  You may also enjoy this excellent video series

Our ongoing “Tibetan for Beginners” class follows immediately after the 11 am Dharma session. A life-long speaker of Tibetan, educator, and fellow Dharma student Dickey Rai, guides these classes to slowly build up a Dharma practitioner's understanding of Tibetan Buddhism.
